I received an email response form the apple itunes community board who sent this link

and it worked. Turns out that at the bottom of the albums page in itunes on my computer, was a little sign that said
down load all here. Pressing that loaded the information into itunes/music/albums.
Once I saw it there and each of the pieces, I made a playlist folder.
I took each of the pieces and slid them into the folder, one by one. (folder has to be closed)
But they all showed up there.
Now the songs are in the itunes/music/songs section.
Whew...
I'm done... spent enough time one this..
