If you use a computer and go to iCloud at the bottom of the page there is a system status, or on any internet capable device you can go to 

http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/

The status currently is all green but there were issues between 10am and noon, PDST.

We don't monitor it here, so it is easier to use the URL.
