[apple-iphone] IOS 7 Pop 3 email app Problem

 

Since updating my iPad 3 to IOS 7, my Pop 3 email seems to be downloading in the background without opening the email app. The email app is not listed in settings/Background App Refresh. Before IOS 7 the mail did not download unless I opened the mail app. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? Or know how to stop it?
