Being someone who travels a great deal for work, I usually have my "bag of tricks" stocked and ready to go.
However, I recently got caught without my iPhone 5 car charger. I had used my phone on the airplane, and went I got to the rental car I needed the iPhone for GPS. Fortunately I still had a decent battery left, and could plug in later at the hotel.
I have seen these "purse charger" things that look like a lipstick tube, with a USB port on one end. If your device has a low battery, and you do not have your regular charger, then you plug into this and it transfers power to your device.
Has anyone used one of these chargers before? Any words of warning or recommendation? I'm considering keeping one as a back-up, but I have read some reviews about damaged batteries, lack of full charge, etc.
Thank you!
Jim
