[apple-iphone] Need help ASAP Please

 

4S, OS6. I have just installed a library book via Overdive. When doing so you must go into the iTunes screen where it shows my iPhone in the left column and underneath my iPhone it shows folders for Books, Movies,Music, Play lists, etc.. Everything has always worked fine. Now I cannot get my iPhone listed in that column on the left. iTunes is reading my iPhone because it does show it on them menu bar across the top but when I click on it the iPhone still does not appear on the left. The book I'm trying to pull up is very time sensitive. Help please.
