Tom, this may seem unrelated, but who is your cellular provider? The reason I ask is our hesitant data connection could be the reason. Also how is your signal strength where you have had problems?

It's got me baffled. Now, for some reason, tonight it's working the way it should be. I wasn't using it on the Bus icon. Just simply trying to find the best auto route from one place to another. First time I tried it tonight, it worked as it should and as it had been for the last couple of weeks. The second time I tried it tonight, it stalled out and I had to reset wifi, even though I was showing a fairly strong signal. After resetting, it worked ok again. Don't know if it's ios6 or the phone that's giving me the grier.

Ok, same thing here when I click on the Bus icon.

I just checked, after it found a location I clicked on the 'Right' arrow in the upper left. This got me to the screen listing from and to and the choice of driving / walking / public transportation. Routing for driving works fine. Routing for walking brings up a message about no directions available. It's a long walk but it is possible. Routing for public transportation does indeed bring up a list of "Routing Apps from the App Store".
I just tried it with two very different locations and got the same results.
I looks as if public transportation is not (yet) supported

That is, when I fine a location and want to plot a route to it from either my current location or another, it automatically flips into a listing of all "routing" aps. I want to see how I get from one place to another and not buy a Garmin or other mapping program for my phone.
