Are you saying the devices do not show at all in iTunes, or that their old "profiles" don't show?
Since the old "profiles" and iTunes library were on the old failed HD, you have to create them again.
I'm on the Mac side, and there are apps that will allow you to move some of your stuff from the iDevices back to a Mac. I assume there are similar apps on the Windows side, but you will still have to recreate whatever is not on your iDevices. Hopefully, if this is the issue, then someone maybe able to help you from the Windows side.

I have read everything I can find on the Apple iTunes support web site and also on my Toshiba web site. I've tried everything suggested. Still no IPhone in iTunes. I also tried my iPad which is the original iPad - It doesn't show either.
