In iTunes select the whole album, then press the application key and then
select Get Info
Tab to Album Artist and put the album artist in.
This will then move the album under the artists name.

Thanks. Yup, I checked compilations, and there they were. So now the
question is, how can I move them from compilations to the main library so
that they will show up when I search by artist? This is an issue only in the
iPhone, not in iTunes in my computer. TIA.

my computer where iTunes music is stored, they are not there. Similarly, if
I search for them by albums or song names, I can find them, but if I search
by artist, they are not listed. Does anyone have a clue as to what is going
on or what can be done to fix it?
