Re: [apple-iphone] moving apps on iPhone 6+

I bought an iPhone 6+ a couple of weeks ago. Currently running iOS 9.3.2 .

I am unable to move apps on my new iPhone 6+ by holding my finger on an icon. All I feel is a vibration but I can not move any app or delete an app.

What do I need to know that is different from my iPhone 5 and iPads?

Bobby

Do you know about 3D Touch?

It sounds like you are pressing when you need to just touch.

Have you tried the highest rated email app?
With 4.5 stars in iTunes, the Yahoo Mail app is the highest rated email app on the market. What are you waiting for? Now you can access all your inboxes (Gmail, Outlook, AOL and more) in one place. Never delete an email again with 1000GB of free cloud storage.

The process has not changed for moving and deleting apps.  Have you tried holding your finger lightly on the app icon without pressing down on it?

Your phone has 3D touch. It requires a very light touch on the icon to get into the move apps mode. You will get used to it.  If you don't like 3D touch you can turn it off.. Settings> General> 3D Touch> Off

[apple-iphone] jelly splash pop up

I bought an iPhone 6+ a couple of weeks ago. Currently running iOS 9.3.2 .

This evening after syncing with my iMac I started getting a pop up called Jelly Splash on an app I use every day. I tried a few other apps and did not see the pop up. Prior to the sync I updated a bunch of apps on the iMac in iTunes for my iOS devices. I also downloaded a new app.

I did a web search and saw suggestions to go into Settings/safari/Advanced/website data and clear website data.  That did not work nor did turning phone off.

This situation is not occurring on my iPad mini containing the same apps.

Any suggestions to get rid of this cr*p?

[apple-iphone] Navigate using latitude and longitude?

Using a street address to find a restaurant with an outside entrance in a large shopping center with many large parking lots is useless, as the restaurant is nowhere near the street. So when I finally found the restaurant, I used my Garmin USA app to get the latitude and longitude, and set up a favorite with that information. Now when I want to go to that restaurant, the app takes me right up to the door.

But when I want to use any other navigation app that I have to go there using the lat-long info, it will not do it! Are there other navigation apps that accept a lat-long location instead of a street address?

Thanks,
Alvin
