I read it has to do with the new dock 'button' it's not the same hardware as in earlier phones.

Hold down the power and the volume down button. It will look like you are turning down the volume. Just keep holding until the apple appears on the screen

The home button is really not a button. It is a sensor that looks for a touch. If the phone is locked up as they tend to so sometimes, it would not see the touch. Reboot needs 2 physical buttons.

1. I have not seen any "$150 price rumor". The MSRP for this product is $159. This is right in the ballpark for similar technology from others.


2. I presume you have not read many of the available reviews of these products. While some people have unusually sized or shaped ear canals, for most these products sit comfortably in their ears better than any other ear-pod devices they have ever worn, and stay there more securely. In part, they stay in better because there is no wired cord attached to, and pulling on, them.

I'm not willing to shell out $159 for something I can't test sounds quality on. My Sennheiser cans and Sony cans I was able to test out before buying.

I did see a pair of earpods in the wild last night. I work at PHX Sky Harbor Airport. Last night a passenger walked past me wearing a pair. He looked silly walking down the terminal talking to himself. I figure he was on a phone call.
