Re: [apple-iphone] How do I transfer purchases

In the latest version of iTunes, a sync will not transfer purchases.

Do a sync. This will Transfer Purchases as well as Backup, which  I suggest is essential prior to any upgrade, just in case.

Or if you cannot see that option,

on iTunes Menu Bar
choose File
go down to Devices
choose Transfer Purchases

I had the same problem...  I could not see any "Transfer Purchases" option anywhere...

Re: [apple-iphone] 5c lightning cable doesn't work

It's not about removing it by the plug or by the cable for me. More one the bending. The cable easily bends with its own weight. The material is really bad. And wether you are a long-time Apple customer is irrelevant. In fact, the issue is new. The new cables are the flimsy ones, not the older ones (iPhone 3GS and older).
My old cables still work because they are designed and built well.

Make that three.

I have not had an Apple cable for Mac or iPhone, ever go bad. I have been an Apple customer since 1998. I have had ports go bad, but never a cable.

I have had several 3rd party earbud cables go bad, but never the wires on an Apple set.

I have good luck with extension cords, too, and I have worked around construction. I guess that is because I remove them by the plug and not the cable.
