Have you tried Preview? Doesn't look promising.

You might check out Photoshop Elements, It can be found for around $50.

Or GraphicConverter.

RE: [apple-iphone] Upside-down Pictures

I use my Windows 7 (Windows Live Photo Gallery - START/ALL PROGRAMS/WINDOWS
LIVE PHOTO GALLERY) to rotate the photo's. So far as yet I have had no
problem uploading the pics to Facebook. They always seem to show up
correctly when I send from my computer. (you can upload any photo's
directly from Windows Live Photo Gallery to Facebook, right within the
program).

However, If I take a landscape photo on my iPhone 5, and upload it directly
to Facebook, it will show up sideways every time.

When I hold my camera sideways to take a picture, apple inbeds meta-data
into the jpg telling viewer-programs which way is up. When I view those
photos on my Windows 7 machine, it ignores the meta-data and displays the
photo sideways. So I use my ancient copy of Photoshop and rotate the photo
to the correct orientation.

Unfortunately, photoshop doesn't update the meta-data. So if I send those
photos to, for example, Facebook it shows sideways again! Photoshop is too
expensive to update.

Any idea how I can correct the meta-data; or other fixes?

Sincerely
/blair

Re: [apple-iphone] Upside-down Pictures

There are several apps in the app store to rotate photos. Use Power Search
and look for "Rotate" in the photo video section.

Isn't there a native Windows program that can do that without the need for Photoshop? I mean it's just rotation, Photoshop is overkill.
I just sold my old Windows PC so I can not check it for myself. But I'm pretty sure that program which opens photos by default can do the trick.

If the metadata is IN there, then the problem would be with the software that ignores it.
