RE: [apple-iphone] messages on the lock screen ?

Sounds like you may have inadvertently changed your notifications for Messages.  Go to "Settings">"Notifications">"Messages", and select how you would like to be notified.

Subject: [apple-iphone] messages on the lock screen ?

I have changed a setting I think -  I do not get my messages when my phone is locked until I unlock it then the text shows up?   Have I changed something ?

Re: [MacBook] macbook

Make sure you follow the instructions for pop and IMAP forwarding on gmails setting page. I seem to remember having to check ssl and then use as pacific port number. My mac's in the shop, but I think the port was 225. But check gmail's instructions under the pop/IMAP forwarding tab.

I am sure everyone has an opinion about this. We don't need to turn this in to a long discussion. Either sign the petition or delete the message.

If you feel that governments should not be trying to force companies into building back-doors into their software to allow others to access your private data, or that of your company, I urge you to go to the following website and sign the petition (and tell your friends).
