I find my iPhone 6 to be too large. I can't imagine a 6+. The 6 is large enough that leaning over it may topple from my shirt pocket where I prefer to carry it. The screen is too large to hold in one hand and use the thumb of the same hand to select apps.

Size preferences are personal of course. "Bigger" is not necessarily better. I gratefully trade a thicker phone for one the size of a 4 or 4S.

The 6+ weighs 6.07ounces and the 6 weighs 4.55 compared to a 4S at 4.9 ounces and a 5S at 3.95.

Here's a good iPhone comparison page:

Thank you all. I'm certainly interested in your opinions and you brought up points that I did not think about. I have looked at the phones - 6 & 6+, but need to look again. I love the image stabilization on the 6+ as that is a big improvement for photos. I didn't realize that the phone is heavy enough to require two hands. I have an upper body and hand strength problem, and never considered the weight. I was more concerned with the size of the phone fitting in my hand and that worked OK for me. Also when looking at Verizon, I wasn't thinking about a folio cover adding to the weight. I love the idea of a bigger screen, but the weight will be a factor.

Re: [apple-iphone] iPhone 6 or 6+

I had a 6 for six months and I loved it. Last week, I switched carriers and all they had available  in more than 16gb was a 6 plus so I had to get it. I was concerned about the size and using it one handed but I haven't had any issues really. I have an otterbox defender case and I'm able to grip it better. I'm a girl, so my hands aren't huge. The extra real estate is great and I love it more than the 6.

Would you buy it again?

I see more webpage, also. That is dependent on the size of text you prefer and if you use the 6+'s zoom feature.

It vries a lot.

I have the TomTom navigation app, which simply looks better on the larger screen.

I have a database app that just is enlarged, and looks peculiarly large.

The built-in apps, of course, generally take good advantage of the extra screen real estate. I'm sure more and more of third-party apps will over time.

Data apps, like wikipedia, put more data on the screen.
Most weather apps seem to do likewise.

I agree with Alvin about a case. I also added the tempered glass protector as I think it more likely the glass can get scratched due to the bigger size.

The iPhone 6 Plus is not a phone. It is a pocket computer with several ancillary hardware items, one of which is a cellular telephone. As with most computers, a larger screen is usually better than a smaller screen.

Yes, I like the iPhone Plus. The larger size is better for use as a navigator and for watching videos, as well as writing and viewing news.

The iPhone 6 Plus is very smooth and thin, and has rounded corners, and I found it difficult to keep from dropping it. Putting on a "rubbery" case made a huge difference in my ease of use, and my confidence in handling it. I advise ordering an inexpensive $3 to $5 rubbery case before you get the phone, so that you don't ever have to handle the "naked" phone at all.

Re: [apple-iphone] iPhone 6 or 6+

A specific situation is a representative of a cardiac pacemaker company has to use his phone with one hand while monitoring surgical cases at my hospital. He took the 6+ back and got a 6.

I think most people have been used to texting with only a thumb.

After a 2-3 week period, I became so used to the size of the 6+ that even a 6 feels too small to me. I really love the superior battery life over the 6, too. If you're a person who uses your phone to do a lot of non-talking tasks, you'll find the extra screen worth it everyday. I use my iPad much less now.

I only know a couple of people who like the 6 better because it fits into the cellphone pocket of their purses or need to use their phone one-handed a lot.
