[apple-iphone] static and crackling

 

I am running my iPhone in to an auxiliary jack on the radio. At times there is a lot of static and crackling. It can be so loud that it drowns out the music. Sometimes it will go away if i change the volume of the iPhone. I have tried it on two different radios and used two different cords.

Any suggestions?
